“Inspiration for Gears of War 4 and 5?”: A horror franchise potentially inspired the two worst games and missed the horror of it all

One of the promises The Coalition made when announcing the new Gears of War: E-Day was that horror elements would once again be at the core of the franchise. While not a main feature of the original trilogy, these games contained several horror segments that truly made players feel a different atmosphere.

However, the last two games in the saga lost this feature and had almost no notable horror moments. Some Reddit users claim that Gears 4 and 5 have parts inspired by Dead Space, a claim that many players did not agree with, sparking a debate.
