Rep. Clyburn's Awkward Cancellation of Sunday Morning Show Appearance

President Biden can’t remember whether or not he watched the replay of the presidential debate, he told George Stephanopoulos in an interview meant to calm the nerves of panicked Democrats.

Such statements contributed to Biden’s lackluster performance in the short interview. Biden has not changed his mind.

Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) is a staunch Biden supporter. He is credited with helping Biden win in 2020. Clyburn won South Carolina for Biden in the 2020 Democratic primary. Biden lost Iowa and New Hampshire that year, so the South Carolina primary was crucial for Biden to gain traction.

Clyburn has stuck by Biden. He called Biden’s horrible debate performance a “bad night,” which is the White House’s position. Clyburn has appeared on numerous television interviews and apologized to Biden.

Clyburn was supposed to do his thing on CBS Confronting the nation today. Note that he cancelled his appearance just 22 minutes after the show announced his presence on Friday night.

Clyburn was mentioned by Biden in the interview as one of the prominent Democrats telling him to stay in the race.

Well, that was awkward.

So who did it? Confronting the nation Who will be the guest host? Bernie Sanders.

Bernie Sanders threw his support behind Biden. He did so by bashing former President Trump instead of praising Biden. Sanders commented that Biden had spent more on climate change than any other president. Yes, this issue is not a top issue for voters this cycle, Bernie. Read the room.

Was Clyburn warned that Biden was not very kind to George Stephanopoulos during that interview? The interview would have been taped by that time. Biden’s inner circle is fleeing like sieves these days, now that they have all been exposed as complicit in the big lie that Biden is doing his job.

Whether that was the reason or not, it seems that Clyburn got scared and pulled out at the last minute. Was one of Biden’s most loyal supporters having second thoughts? He knew what the topic of conversation was going to be, and it was whether or not Biden should stay in the race. It seems like he doesn’t want to answer that question right now, even though he was ready to say yes after the debate. It was just a bad night, right?

President Biden is losing more support every day. The debate would have shocked Democrats. They act like they had no idea that Biden’s health is rapidly declining. Big donors who see Biden up close and in person at fundraisers and members of Congress who work with the Biden White House claim they had no idea how bad he is. This is bullshit. They got caught in the cover-up.

Some House Democrats have called on Biden to drop out of the race. So far, no Senate Democrat has done so. That could change after a meeting tomorrow.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) is coordinating a meeting with his colleagues scheduled for Monday.

According to sources familiar with the private conversations who spoke on condition of anonymity, Warner told Democratic senators that Biden could no longer remain in the race for reelection, following his disappointing performance in the debates. Warner told others that he was deeply concerned that Biden would not be able to run a campaign that could defeat former President Donald Trump.

Warner’s spokeswoman, Rachel Cohen, would neither confirm nor deny that the senator believes Biden should drop out of the race, instead issuing a statement saying, “Like many others in Washington and across the country, Senator Warner believes these are critical days for the president’s campaign, and he has made that clear to the White House.”

Asked about that meeting with Sen. Warner during Friday’s interview, Biden said Warner only did it because he himself was running for the nomination. As if Warner had acted in the wrong way. Warner, however, never ran for the Democratic nomination for president.

This is a big problem for Democrats. He can’t answer the most basic questions correctly. Who knows what he says in important conversations with world leaders?

Biden is putting Americans in grave danger, both at home and abroad. He admits he needs more sleep and can’t work past 8pm. His team is now honest and says he can’t be counted on to do his job outside of 11am and 4pm. We need a full-time president. Biden can stay in the race. If he can, he must be defeated in November. These are too dangerous times for America to have a weak, part-time president.
