Mikal Bridges shares farewell message with Nets fans after trade to Knicks

THE Mikal Bridges The blockbuster deal that sent him from the Nets to the Knicks was officially completed Saturday night.

Bridges only spent a year and a half in Brooklyn, but he was quickly embraced by the fan base after being acquired as one of the team’s centerpieces. Kevin Durant trade with the Phoenix Suns.

The 27-year-old was terrific late in his first year with the team as he finished fourth in Most Improved Player voting after averaging 26.1 points and shooting 48 percent from the field in 27 games.

Bridges had a bit of a disappointing campaign last year, but he still finished his time with Brooklyn averaging 21.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field.

He will now seek to turn the situation around by reuniting with his former university teammates. Jalen Brunson, Josh HartAnd Donte DiVincenzo on the other side of town.
