English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Children While Adventuring “Another World and Twins”; “Nice to Meet You, Joule”

Preview:

Takumi Kayano died because of a mistake made by a god. As an apology, the god sends him to another world and resurrects him. As Takumi makes his way through this new world, he finds two small children in the forest.

Takumi has slowly gotten used to his new life and his new world. However, there is one thing he does not like at all: the limited choice of bread.

Our opinion :

I know simuldubs have been rarer since lockdown, but it seems like we’re slowly getting back into them with some shows. I’m assuming this is a simuldub now since there were only two episodes and they were both dubbed. I doubt they’ll premiere a series and not have an episode next week.

Now, listen, I love isekai as much as the next guy and this looks like a fun and cute series. Few people’s first thought when they find kids in an otherworldly forest would be “I guess I’ll adopt them,” but hey, so far it’s working. The mystery of who the kids are is going to be a driving force of the series going forward, I think. At least, that’s what I’m interested in right now.

I’m also interested in the “contract beasts” that Takumi seems to be acquiring. Right now he has a wolf, a white tiger, and a bird of some sort. I love animals and isekai, so this seems like a perfect combination. Takumi is the typical overpowered protagonist, but that’s not the focus so far, it’s mostly the kids and I think that will make this one unique enough to be enjoyable.
