Martha Stewart responds to critics over living room decor.

Martha Stewart responds to critics over living room decor.

Martha Stewart is known for her friendship with rapper Snoop Dogg, her quirky Instagram posts, and, of course, being a domestic goddess.

So when she shared pictures of her newly decorated living room on Instagram, fans were expecting something spectacular.

Stewart, who owns several properties, posted a carousel of photos featuring her living room in her Skylands, Maine home.

As part of the redecoration, she rearranged the furniture and updated the color of the sofa.

“We replaced the gray-blue upholstery in the living room with a creamy, pale butter yellow,” she wrote.

“The library is much cozier now, and the faux bois table is now the card table. I love the rustic yet elegant charm of this lovely 1925 home.”

While some fans loved the redesign, others weren’t as impressed and weren’t shy about sharing their criticisms.

“Bland. Looks like an over-furnished living room in an old, dated hotel. So impersonal. Sorry. I want to love it,” one user wrote.

“Not gonna lie, I love you. I’ve been watching you for 30 years. Kinda reminds me of a haunted mansion,” wrote another.

Typically, celebrities ignore the negative comments they receive daily from their millions of followers. However, Stewart chose to respond, noting that the room wasn’t fully filled yet.

“I rarely read every comment that comes in after I post, but because I was so happy with the transformation of my Maine living room, I scrolled through many of the comments and was surprised at how harshly judged many were,” she wrote.

“My assistants from Maine and I spent three hours moving the old furniture and installing the new ones. We were delighted to see that the pieces fit perfectly in the room and were proportionate to the large size of the space.

“This was not a professional ‘decorator’ installation, but an attempt at a quick and effective change. Transforming a house into a home or a room into a beautiful living space takes well over three hours.

She concluded by mentioning that she plans to introduce more color into the space soon with plants, upholstery and other decorative items.

Her defense drew strong support from her fans, many of whom were eager to defend her.

“WHO GAVE YOU SHADE? We’re driving at dawn, Martha…” wrote one fan.

The moral of the story is: don’t bother with Martha.
