Liam Payne’s body is finally flown to Britain

Liam Payne’s body will finally be flown back to his native England today, sources confirmed to Page Six.

Security insiders confirmed to Page Six that he will be taken home for burial by his devoted father, Geoff Payne, who has been in Argentina with the singer’s bodyguard since the accident.

The singer, who struggled with substance abuse, will now be laid to rest after a service expected to be attended by his One Direction bandmates: Liam Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik.

A local journalist claimed via X that his coffin was already on board a flight on Wednesday, but Page Six could not immediately verify that information. A representative for Payne also did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The former One Direction singer’s body was held in the South American country after he tragically fell over the balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires. died October 16. He was 31.

Amid the long wait, the release of his body was delayed for some time toxicological tests were completed.

As previously revealed on Page Six, the tests took longer than expected because the medications the singer was believed to have taken before his death may have been adulterated with unknown substances, complicating the results.

Meanwhile, TMZ reported this on Wednesday Argentine police have carried out a series of raids at the homes of two CasaSur Palermo hotel employees, along with one of his other ‘friends’, as part of their investigation to find out who exactly sold the singer the drugs.

As we revealed, Payne is believed to have befriended one of his hotel’s cleaning staff, who allegedly procured drugs for him during his stay, prompting him to concerned friend Roger Nores to alert the manager of CasaSur.

Law enforcement sources report this TMZ that officers carried out the raids Tuesday evening, while also searching workers’ lockers and reviewing hotel security footage.

It is believed investigators identified Payne’s drug dealer “friend” using text messages on his cell phone, but he was not home during the raid.

Initial autopsy results showed Payne had “pink cocaine” in his system, a dangerous cocktail that typically combines meth, ecstasy and ketamine, as well as other narcotics.
