Titled “Shoes… More Shoes,” Coughlan worked with music producer Ellis Miah to produce the track.

“Like Lennon and McCartney, Dylan and the other great songwriters, I too wrote my first song by improvising a few voice notes to @ellismiah in the 30 minutes I had before getting ready to go to Mighty Hoopla,” Coughlan wrote in the Instagram caption sharing a snippet of the song. “Thank you to all the queer icons and Real Housewives who inspired me, I live for you.”

Coughlan noted that the song, now streaming on all music platforms, will raise funds for Not a Phase and The Trevor Project.

An interview with Hits Radio UK went viral where Coughlan said: “You know when the The Real Housewives “I publish pop songs exclusively for gay men. It’s my dream job.”

She continued: “They don’t even really sing. They just list things. They say, ‘Shoes and private yachts. Caviar and more shoes.’

Coughlan was clearly inspired by the former The Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps, who made a career out of releasing singles using the listing technique.

In “Chic c’est la vie,” De Lesseps lists: “Precious stones, jets, silhouettes, champagne in the sky. Beautiful premieres and fireworks, every night. Gold, diamonds, caviar, life is just a dream. When every day you live is presented on television.”
