The process of cancelling a worker’s work permit in the UAE has been significantly reduced to just 45 seconds, down from 3 minutes previously, and will not require any documentation. This enhanced and simplified cancellation process for worker services follows the launch of the second phase of the Work Bundle platform.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) announced on Monday, July 8, the upgrade of the service to provide customers with a hassle-free procedure experience. Here is how Mohre integrates all types of cancellation into one unified package:

Several ministries and federal authorities have come together to launch a platform that will facilitate the hiring of new employees for business owners and private companies, as well as the pre-renewal of work permits for existing employees.

The first phase of the programme was launched in Dubai in March and is now being implemented across all seven emirates. The second phase of the Work Bundle programme will cover around 600,000 businesses and more than seven million workers.
