Nag Ashwin Kalki 2898 AD continues to perform well according to trade analysts and the film’s box office figures are proof of that.

The dystopian mythological sci-fi film starring Prabhas has collected Rs 763 crore in 11 days of its release, including Rs 212.50 crore from the Hindi version alone.

Despite performing well, the film faced an unexpected setback in its second weekend when its matinee screening at Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety-Galaxy cinema was cancelled due to lack of audience.

Sharing details about the same, the film’s producer, exhibitor and executive director of the said cinema hall said: Times Now News“Well, the movie has been doing really well so far. I have a total of five shows, 3 at Gaiety and 2 at Galaxy, and they have all had great audiences. However, yes, I was unable to do today’s show. kyuki public school kam thi.”

Usually, a screening is cancelled in a multiplex when the capacity is less than five people. Asked about the situation in his theatre, Desai said, “My theatres have a bigger capacity. I need at least 30-40 people before I can screen.”

Previously, Ajay Devgn and Tabu Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was due to be released on July 5, but the filmmakers pushed their film back to August 2 to avoid Kalki 2898 AD

Reacting to this, Desai said, “I don’t think Ajay Devgn should have postponed his film.”

Meanwhile, the new release of the week, that of Karan Johar Kill starring Lakshya and Raghav Juyal received rave reviews, but the box office numbers were not as good.
