Kesha Sets the Record Straight With Powerful Message: “Hate Me Harder”

Kesha hit back at body critics on Sunday (July 7) after receiving numerous comments about her figure. The “C’Mon” star revealed her true feelings in a post shared on Xassuring her enemies that she loved her body despite their opinions.

“I didn’t think in 2024 people would still be body shaming, but I’m so proud of my body. She’s been through a lot. She tore her ACL on stage and finished the show. She held my fucking broken heart together.”

The artist went on to say that the hate she has received from people who attack her body over the years has only added fuel to an already raging fire.

“To those who think you shame me, you actually make me feel very powerful. So for your sake, I hope one day you feel whole enough to not tear other women down. Until then, hate me even harder, bitch :)”

The confident queen included two bikini photos of herself to reinforce the overwhelming sense of self-love she possesses and to show how far she has come in cultivating a positive body image. In 2017, Kesha got candid with Rolling stone on overcoming an eating disorder, recalling anxiety and anger during recovery.

“Finally, I was like, ‘Fuck, this is shit. Fuck, this is shit. I’m hungry!’ And I was so anxious I felt like I was going to explode because of all these secrets. All these times I’d pretend to eat, or empty myself, and try not to let anyone know. And I was just sick of this shit. And I remember shaking because I was so sick of it, so anxious, and I was just angry that I had let myself get that far.”

The “Woman” singer is set to perform at a Lollapolloza after-party on July 31, ahead of a main stage concert on August 1.
