LeSean McCoy Claims Lamar Jackson Is Being Unfairly Criticized

Expert expects veteran to sign before training camp

The Ravens tend to make some moves during the offseason. It’s a common occurrence, and The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec is eagerly awaiting the moment when the annual shoe drops.

“Timing is always hard to predict, but I expect the Ravens to add a veteran or two, simply because that’s what general manager Eric DeCosta does,” Zrebiec wrote. “The Ravens like late-offseason moves where they bring in known, motivated veterans at low cost to boost positions they perceive need.”

Zrebiec expects the number of new positions to be reduced to two.

“Right now, the Ravens need a veteran safety, and there are plenty left,” Zrebiec wrote. “They may also need an interior offensive lineman. It would be surprising if one of those areas isn’t addressed in the coming weeks.”

As for safety, there are still some stars on the market, including Justin Simmons, Eddie Jackson, Jamal Adams and Micah Hyde. And while the offensive line doesn’t have as many stars available, there are still viable options like Phil Haynes, Greg Van Roten and Mark Glowinski, among others.
