July 9 – ATHSAV Announces Partnership with Georgia Cycling Law Attorney Joseph J Steffen Jr | Health & Hospitals

“This partnership is a great fit for us,” said Joe Steffen. “We work with the cycling community, and working with Athens to Savannah is an opportunity to show our support and a great way to give back.”

The 2024 event will take place from October 17^th up to 20^th. The 4-day, 284-mile route features gravel and road options that take riders from Athens to Savannah through the 8-county Georgia Hi-Lo Trail Initiative. Beginning in Athens and ending in Savannah, the ride stops in several communities along the way, including overnight stays in Athens, White Plains & Greensboro, Tennille & Sandersville, and Statesboro before reaching the final stop in Savannah, where riders can relax and party at the ATHSAV Awards and After Party.

The Athens to Savannah Ride is a nonprofit event that serves as an annual fundraiser to support the mission of the Georgia Hi-Lo Trail. Riders can choose between the 4-day gravel ride and 3-day road ride options. Both options cover at least 285 miles of incredible riding through rural Georgia and include rest stops and overnight stays in communities along the routes. Riders appreciate the uniqueness of each community as they are welcomed by locals who come to show their support.

Georgia Hi-Lo Trail, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to connecting and empowering rural Georgia through the development of the 211-mile Hi-Lo Trail, which will connect communities across an 8-county area. Once completed, the Hi-Lo Trail will connect to the 38-mile Firefly Trail, creating the longest paved trail in the United States.
