Bambu Lab announces new series of printers to launch in 2025

Since launching Kickstarter in 2022, Bambu Lab has been reshaping the 3D printing market by providing easy-to-use, reliable, and high-quality FDM desktop printers. Now immensely popular with consumers, the company has won numerous awards. In addition to this success, however, Bambu Lab faced several problems. They recalled their popular A1 printer due to safety concerns in February, and it was recently announced that the company was being sued for patent infringement by Stratasys. Despite the turmoil, Bambu Lab has just announced the launch of its long-awaited new series of printers, scheduled for release in early 2025.

The new printer series is rumored to be launched in September 2024, but according to news from Bambu Lab, the company is taking its time to ensure the quality of its product. The printer series will apparently be a step up from the X1 printer, which features 16 multi-color options, AI-powered features, and high-quality printing with 7μm Lidar resolution. With this new series, Bambu Lab aims to deliver top-notch performance for 3D printing prosumers. The product will integrate several new features that will meet your high-quality requirements. According to their press release, they are “not cutting corners.”

What can we expect from the new printer series?

We don’t know explicit details about the new printer series other than that it will be larger than previous models. When asked in an “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit whether the new printer series would be larger than the X1C printer, Bambu Lab responded: “We are working on it.” From them The X1E printer, designed for professional and engineering applications, may inspire some of the printer’s new features. It offers connection to devices via ethernet, off-cloud operation, heated chamber, vibration compensation and more, so we may see these features in the new series.

What we do know, however, is Bambu Lab’s vision for its new product. Tao, CEO and co-founder of Bambu Lab, puts it this way: “We are building something that will push the limits of what is possible in consumer 3D printing. This extra time ensures we deliver on that promise, with a fully-ready product supported around the world.” Bambu Lab clarified that they not only aim to perfect their new printer series by the launch date, but also ensure that there is sufficient stock, spare parts and robust logistics everywhere.
