Second man charged in murder investigation after woman died in Glasgow Street

A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Glasgow.

Sandie Butler was found seriously injured at around 12.55pm on Tuesday, October 29, after police were called to reports of a disturbance in the city’s St. Mungo Avenue area.

The 40-year-old died a short time later.

James McCrindle, 53, was charged in connection with the death and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, November 4.

He did not enter a plea to the murder charge during a closed hearing and will appear in court again.

Police said Friday that a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, November 11.
