Heidi’s Legacy Dog Rescue

Otter was found after Hurricane Milton. He was alone, with no other puppies or parents. When he was found, he was so young that his eyes were not yet open! He’s opening his eyes now, but he’s bottle feeding.

He is so young that his breed is currently unknown, but he is a little cuddly toy. He is not ready for immediate adoption, but if you are interested in taking him home, click here!

Heidi’s Legacy Dog Rescue

Hello, I’m Rover. I am an 8 month old black lab/shepherd mix. At 40 pounds, I am up to date on all my vaccines and have been neutered, whatever that means! All I know is that I am active, playful, loving and generally a happy puppy, although I do get up to mischief every now and then! After all, I’m a puppy and those slippers smell good! I walk well on a leash and go potty outside. I’m told these are great qualities to have. When I go outside to pee I get a lot of praise, so I’m sure I’m doing fine!

My ideal forever home would be one where I can get lots of attention, love and toys to play with. Toys are my absolute favorite and I don’t mind sharing, especially when it comes to tug-of-war! I enjoy playing with my foster siblings, but would also do just fine solo. Would you open your heart and home to me? I had a rough start in life and could use a soft bed.

Rover is your “Turn Key Ready” puppy. He walks fine on a leash and is waiting until he is potty trained outside (he is potty trained or close). He tests great with other dogs, playful and polite. Rover definitely has older puppy energy, but he is incredibly well-mannered and easy-going, gentle enough with small children. Rover likes hugs.

Logan

Logan

Animal lovers

Meet Logan! This beautiful 11 month old St. Bernard came to us after being rescued from a horrible backyard breeder situation where they endured neglect and poor living conditions. Thanks to the love and care of their foster families, they are now ready for a forever home that can continue to provide structure, love and support as they grow into incredible companions.

Logan has the sweetest character. He enjoys meeting new people and getting a taste of adventure thanks to his foster father, who regularly takes him on outings and car rides. Logan hasn’t been to daycare yet, but has shown a positive attitude towards the few dogs he has met. With his calm, easy-going nature, Logan would do great with a family who can give him a mix of social time and new experiences to continue building his confidence.

Additional information for potential adopters:

Size: Logan is one of many siblings! Each of these siblings weighs about 50 pounds, and there’s still room to grow! Training: All three are making progress with crate training and learning leash manners, although they are still in the process of full house training. Cats: We’re not sure how they react to cats. Ideal Homes: These St. Bernard’s will do best in homes with breed experience or a strong commitment to training. They need constant guidance to establish routines, boundaries and manners

Eve

Eve

Kathi’s K9s

Eve came to our rescue like an owner surrendered dog. If you can believe it, her owner actually called her Evil! This little 16 pound, 5 year old sweetheart is extremely calm, quiet and friendly.

She appears to be a mix of Shih Tzu, Yorki and Chinese Crested, we suspect. She gets along great with all the other dogs and puppies in the rescue. She has chronic dry eyes, which requires daily drops of Cyclosprin, and she has occasional skin allergies, which require Apoquel as needed.

Eve is a fantastic dog who really deserves a loving home. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Her adoption fee is $225. Applications for adoption are in kathisk9s.org. Meet-and-greets are scheduled for approved applicants only.
