Super Mario Party Jamboree fans warned to stop using new products

Super Mario Party Jamboree is the third Mario Party game for the Nintendo Switch and according to Metacritic the best yet. In 2018, Super Mario Party debuted the series on the Nintendo Switch and earned a 76 on Metacritic. In 2021, Mario Party Superstars released an 81 on Metacritic. And for three years now, Super Mario Party Jamboree is sitting at an 82 on Metacritic. That said, while the new game is good, some of the companion products coming alongside it aren’t so good. In fact, they’re so bad that their makers tell their customers not to use them.

More specifically, anyone who purchased the Super Mushroom frying pan should not use it according to the frying pan manufacturer. Why? Well, according to the manufacturer, it discolors the oil when heated. It’s unclear what color the oil will turn or if there are any health concerns, but the manufacturer says customers should stop using it and wait for further information.

The frying pan was only released in Japan, so it’s unlikely to affect many outside of Japan. However, for anyone who has imported it or is considering importing it, this is relevant information.

As the situation develops and evolves, we will of course update the story accordingly. In the meantime, don’t buy this Super Mario Party Jamboree frying pan because no one knows what’s wrong with it.

“Join the latest Mario Party, a jamboree of seven boards and over 110 mini-games,” reads an official blurb about the game for those unfamiliar. “From running around merry-go-rounds to motion-controlled mini-golf, this jamboree is packed with more mini-games than any Mario Party game to date. With a total of seven boards, you can go with the flow in Goomba Lagoon, search the mall for stars in Rainbow Galleria, or revisit the classics of Western Land and Mario’s Rainbow Castle.
