Chelsea are reportedly considering selling Marc Cucurella this summer if the club receive a “big offer”.

Cucurella has caught the eye during Spain’s run to the Euro 2024 final, with the left-back becoming a fan favourite for his action-packed performances.

Only three players have made more tackles than Cucurella in the tournament, who built on a strong end to the season at Chelsea with an impressive summer for the national team.

Despite his performances, Chelsea are reportedly considering a sale. Cucurella initially struggled following his £62million move to west London from Brighton in 2022 and clubs including Manchester United showed interest in his services last summer.

His strong showing with Spain has led to speculation of an approach from top La Liga sides and Fabrizio Romano has said both club and player will consider their options if a suitable offer comes in.

“If the club decides to sell him, Cucurella will consider his options,” Romano told CaughtOffside Briefing.

“It’s really quiet now, there are no discussions, but for example, clubs appeared at the end of the summer a year ago.

“Chelsea are happy with Cucurella but with big offers, everything could be open for Cucurella or… Ben Chilwell.”
