Giants vs Panthers Predictions and Picks for Week 10: The Wurst Offenses

Two of the league’s worst fouls take center stage in Germany on Sunday morning, and Jeremy Jones believes there will be few points between them.

The NFL returns to Germany this weekend and we’re certainly not sending our best as the 2-7 New York Giants face the 2-7 Carolina Panthers early Sunday morning.

The Giants have lost four games in a row and are favored for the first time since Week 2 of last season. Meanwhile, the Panthers get their first win since Week 3. According to my Giants vs. predictions. Panthers we will see a lot of bad fouls in another match in Europe.

Find out why I project very few scores in my NFL picks for Sunday November 10

My analysis

Three matches have been played in Germany before and they were not pretty. There were 37 total points between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks in 2022, 35 total points between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins last year, and 16 total points between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots last season.

However, in addition to the German factor, there are several reasons to believe in the Under on Sunday morning. The New York Giants have the worst scoring offense in the NFL, averaging just 15.4 points per game. Even if they’ve played some of the worst defenses in terms of points allowed per game, they haven’t lit up the scoreboard.

The Giants scored just 15 points against the Dallas Cowboys and seven points against the Cincinnati Bengals, who rank 31st and 26th respectively in points allowed. So just because this Carolina Panthers the defense is bad doesn’t mean we’re suddenly going to see a surge of points from the Giants. The Panthers held the Saints to 22 points last week and allowed just 22 points to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3.

On the other hand, the Giants have a strong defense. They rank 15th in points allowed, with 22.4 per game. They are especially good against the pass, where they allow just 191.6 yards per game (ninth in the NFL) and have recorded 35 sacks (most in the NFL). They go after it Bryce Youngwho has been sacked nine times in his four starts this season.

While both teams have poor defenses, neither offense is good at running the ball. With so few mismatches for either team to take advantage of on offense, I don’t see many scoring opportunities. Add to that the travel factor and seeing big fouls in German games in the past, I absolutely love this Under.

Giants vs Panthers same game

Below 40.5

Malik Nabers Less than 6.5 receptions

Theo Johnson Under 25.5 receiving yards

To go along with our best bet, I’m going to take a player Under and that’s going to be a stud rookie receiver Malik Nabers to go Less than 6.5 receipts. The Panthers have had just three receivers make seven or more catches this season. They also rank 9th in the NFL in pass attempts allowed, so there won’t be many opportunities for Nabers here.

Finally, I’ll add another Under to the passing game for the Giants. This time I’m looking at the tight end Theo Johnson. He has exceeded this total in four of his last five games, but this game will be lower-scoring and slower than that one. Just don’t see much opportunity here.
