Women’s Golf Team Announces 2024-25 Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women’s golf team and head coach Sara Doell have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

“I am very excited to prepare for the 2024-25 season,” Doell said. “With an experienced team, we have the opportunity to compete with the best teams in the country at a high level this season.”

San Francisco earned nine top-10 finishes during a successful 2023-24 campaign, highlighted by a standout performance at the West Coast Conference Championships, finishing the tournament in second place. Individually, Mission Riana earned her second career victory at The Clash at Boulder Creek and was selected as an individual qualifier for the Cle Elum Regional for the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship.

The Dons return six student-athletes from last season’s roster, including WCC All-Conference selections Mission, Yvonne ShangAnd Eva Pettwhile welcoming two real freshmen Jillian Leh And Lexi Booras.

With four tournaments in the fall, San Francisco opens the season in the Pacific Northwest with the Leadership and Golf Invitational, hosted Monday, Sept. 16-Tuesday, Sept. 17 by Seattle U and Washington. Opening the season at Chamber’s Bay Golf Course for the second straight season, the Dons finished fifth in the same tournament, following Mission’s fourth-place finish last season.

The program will compete the following week, competing in The Molly, hosted by California from Monday, September 30 through Tuesday, October 1. The two-day event takes place at Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Course in Monterey.

San Francisco will then travel to the Midwest to compete in the Marilyn Smith Invitational from Monday, Oct. 7 through Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Lawrence, Kansas. The tournament, hosted by Kansas, marks the program’s first appearance in the Midwest for the first time in program history.

After a bye week, the Dons close out the fall portion of the schedule in Las Vegas, Nev., competing in The Clash at Boulder Creek from Sunday, Oct. 20 through Tuesday, Oct. 22. The green and gold, competing at Boulder Creek Golf Club for the fifth time since 2018-19, earned a second-place team finish last season, with Mission earning his second career individual victory.

The spring season includes two home tournaments, the Juli Inkster at the Meadow Club Invitational from Monday, March 3 to Tuesday, March 4 and the Olympic Club Invitational from Monday, March 31 to Tuesday, April 1. The Dons are scheduled to host two home events for the first time since the 2022-23 season.

In addition to its home tournaments, San Francisco will also compete in the Causeway Invitational from Monday, February 24 to Tuesday, February 25, the Silicon Valley Showcase from Monday, March 24 to Tuesday, March 25 and the Chevron Silverado Showdown from April 7 to Wednesday, April 9 to close out the regular season.
