Some suburban trains cancelled or diverted in Chennai

CHENNAI: Southern Railway has announced cancellation, diversion and re-origination of EMU train services due to line blockage/signal blockage between Korukkupet and Basin Bridge stations in Chennai Central – Gudur section from 11 pm to 3 am on July 13, 15, 16 and 17.

The block was allowed to carry out engineering works in the section.

Here are the changes in the EMU train service model.

Local train no. 43001, Moore Market Complex – Avadi EMU leaving Moore Market Complex at 00:15 is cancelled on 14th July.

Train No. 42040, Gummidipundi – Moore Market Complex EMU local leaving Gummidipundi at 22:30 is partially cancelled between Korrukupet and Moore Market Complex on 13th July.

EMU local train no. 42040 Gummidipundi – Moore Market Complex leaving Gummidipundi at 22:30 hrs will be diverted to Chennai Beach on 15th, 16th and 17th July.

Local train no. 66007 Moore Market Complex – Avadi EMU leaving Moore Market Complex at 23:40 will depart from Chennai Beach at 23:45 on 15th, 16th and 17th July.
