Alex Pereira is ready to face any opponent in the UFC: “It doesn’t matter to me”

Alex Pereira seems ready to take on anyone. Pereira has wreaked havoc in the light heavyweight division and the spotlight has been on him for quite some time. Recently, Kamaru Usman explained that being a dominant champion doesn’t make Alex Pereira a better pound-for-pound fighter. Daniel Cormier then gave his take to prove Usman wrong in his deductions.

Well, all of this doesn’t seem to bother Poatan. Pereira even expressed his disinterest in Tom Aspinall calling him out, as he only wants title fights. That said, Alex Pereira is willing to take on any opponent the UFC wants him to face.

Alex Pereira wants to evolve further

Alex Pereira recently shared his thoughts on his YouTube channel in a video. He talked about everything from his move to heavyweight to when he will fight again this year. In the midst of it all, Pereira also gave a glimpse of his fearless spirit by stating that none of the names matter to him.

Alex Pereira said in Portuguese: “If it’s Jon Jones, if it’s Tom Aspinall, it doesn’t matter… A lot of people try to put themselves forward by saying they’re going to knock me out or submit me. The difference (between) those people (and me) is that I’m evolving, so every fight becomes more difficult for them. Whoever it is, it doesn’t matter to me.”

Meanwhile, after a thunderous start to the year, Alex Pereira will face Magomed Ankalaev. While Ankalaev started insulting others, Alex Pereira found an appropriate response.

Alex Pereira responds to Magomed Ankalaev

Magomed Ankalaev recently stated that he would knock out Alex Pereira in their next fight. He also stated that he would not use wrestling and that he would beat Alex Pereira in his own striking game. In response to these claims, Pereira called Ankalaev someone who “tries to self-promote, tries to put down” Alex Pereira.

Poatan then said that he is constantly evolving as a fighter. Previously, he only had kickboxing in his arsenal. But now, Pereira has learned more maneuvers that make it harder for his fighters to win. So, as things start to heat up, it remains to be seen if Ankalaev can prove what he can do or if Alex Pereira will prevail once again.
