Man arrested for stabbing Burger King employee in Old Saybrook – NBC Connecticut

A man was arrested Friday after allegedly stabbing a Burger King employee in an alley in Old Saybrook.

Police said they were called to an alley between Stop and Shop and Paradise Wine and Spirits on Boston Post Road just after 2 p.m.

A Burger King employee is said to have been stabbed and then returned to work. They were taken to hospital and are in stable condition, according to police.

Authorities found the man who stabbed the employee shortly after the incident and were taken into custody.

The man is charged with, among other things, first-degree assault and breach of the peace.

“We are grateful that the victim will recover, that these cases are very rare in Old Saybrook, and for the quick actions of our Patrol Division staff who made an arrest within an hour,” Police Chief Michael Spera said in a statement.

According to police, the incident is isolated. The investigation is still ongoing.
