Co-founded by Ibrahim Abudyak and Hiba Balfaqih, The Smash Room offers a unique and safe space where people can express themselves and release their pent-up emotions by smashing and breaking objects into pieces.

Without any guilt or worry about wasting items purchased with hard-earned money or having to limit the damage, customers can freely choose from a wide range of items to break, including televisions, glassware, washing machines, and more.

The idea for The Smash Room came from difficult personal experiences the co-founders faced, Abudyak says. “Hiba was dealing with the loss of her grandmother, while I was navigating unemployment and a divorce,” he says.

“Traditional stress management methods were not working for us, so one day Hiba took some old objects from the garden and smashed them into pieces, which gave her immense relief. That’s when she came up with the idea. She teamed up with me to bring this unique concept to life.”

Following the resounding success of their first venture, the duo launched another innovative concept. The first of its kind in the region, The Smash Mobile, is perfectly suited to thrill seekers on the go.

This mobile object destruction room allows customers to relax and unwind by smashing objects right at any location. Offering a unique approach to stress relief and entertainment, the stress truck promises a new and engaging experience.

Available for bookings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Fujairah, the inspiration to create a mobile meeting room in a truck was born from the desire to make the unique stress relief experience more accessible and convenient for a wider audience.

“The mobile smash room differs from the traditional fixed smash room in several ways. The setup is highly customizable, tailored to meet specific event themes or client preferences,” says Abudyak.

He stresses that ensuring the safety and well-being of customers remains a key priority, with the mobile version complying with all the safety measures implemented at the Smash Room to ensure a risk-free smashing experience for all.

“Each participant will be provided with sturdy helmets, heavy-duty gloves and full-body protective suits to protect against potential injuries from flying debris,” he adds, noting that he has personally seen the emotional and psychological benefits felt by customers.

“Many of our visitors arrive stressed, frustrated or overwhelmed, and leave with a noticeable sense of relief and satisfaction.”

The controlled environment of smashing can foster a sense of empowerment, which is especially beneficial for those seeking control over their lives, Abudyak says.

“Participants often leave feeling happier and more relaxed, attributing this to the adrenaline rush and unique experience. Participating in these sessions also promotes mindfulness, helping individuals to be more present and temporarily alleviate their worries,” he adds.

The mobile smash room can accommodate between 4 and 10 people simultaneously and is divided into two distinct areas inside separated by a mesh gate: one for equipping with safety equipment, and the other for smash activities.
