BBC commentator John Hunt has spoken for the first time of his “devastation” after his wife and two daughters were killed in an alleged crossbow attack.

His wife, Carol Hunt, 61, and their daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, were fatally injured at their home in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, Hertfordshire, shortly after 7pm on Tuesday.

In a heartfelt statement released on Saturday, the 5 Live racing commentator and his surviving daughter Amy expressed their sadness. They said: “The devastation we are experiencing cannot be expressed in words.”
