DPS Announces November Featured Fugitve

TEXAS (KAUZ) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has announced Miguel Gomez as November’s featured fugitive.

For November, the reward for information leading to his arrest will now increase to $8,500 in November if the tip is received this month.

DPS said 51-year-old Miguel Angel Gomez has been living out of Harris Co. since 2022. is wanted for murder.

In 2009, he was convicted of sexual assault of a child after an incident with a 16-year-old woman and sentenced to 15 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison.

DPS advised that Gomez also has prior convictions for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary of a vehicle and burglary of a building. Additionally, he has been wanted for parole violation since December 2022.

Gomez was described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has tattoos on his neck, both hands, left leg and left arm. DPS said he has scars on his face, lip and left forearm.

To be eligible for cash rewards, tipsters MUST provide information to authorities using one of the following three methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about and then clicking the link below their photo.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SEND A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted – and tipsters are given a tip number instead of a name.
