Jacksonville Jaguars announce latest injury updates for Week 10

As expected, the Jacksonville Jaguars have reigned starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence as questionable heading into their Week 10 battle with the Minnesota Vikings.

Lawrence was limited all week by a shoulder injury and the expectation going into Sunday is that backup quarterback Mac Jones will start for the Jaguars.

Officially out for the Jaguars are guard Ezra Cleveland and defensive tackle Maason Smith. Cleveland missed last week’s game due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 8, while Smith missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

“Ezra (Cleveland) and Maason (Smith) probably just because Maason is probably still a week and Ezra is probably still a week, too. If I say Maason, he could be ready next week. So those two now, as far as injuries go,” Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said.

Along with Lawrence, the Jaguars have listed several other players as questionable: wide receiver Gabe Davis (shoulder), running back D’Ernest Johnson (hamstring), wide receiver Brian Thomas (chest), safety Daniel Thomas (hamstring), wide receiver Devin Duvernay (hamstring), running back Keilan Robinson (toe) and safety Andrew Wingard.

“You’re going to get Dewey (S Andrew Wingard) back in the mix. Obviously, special teams guy, safety. Duvernay (WR Devin Duvernay) is coming back this week, he looked good this week. So barring any setbacks, that should should be good for us this week,” Pederson said.

“I think he’s going to have a bigger role now that the guys are beat up, right? More than just a returner out there. So again, Devin is a pro. He’s preparing, he’s getting ready to go and I expect him to play a little more offensively,” Pederson said of Duvernay.
