The Spain team erupted in joy after their thrilling 2-1 victory over England in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on Sunday night.

Mikel Oyarzabal scored a spectacular goal after Cole Palmer equalised Nico Williams’ opening goal.

Oyarzabal’s decisive goal from close range came in the 86th minute, leaving England little time to respond.

This victory ensured The Red one a record fourth European Championship title and the celebrations in the dressing room were electrifying.

Celebration in the dressing room of the Spanish team

During the joyous festivities in the locker room, Nico Williams started a livestream on Instagram, capturing the entire team’s celebration.

Lamine Yamal showed off his dance moves, while team captain Alvaro Morata celebrated with push-ups.

Yamal wins Euro 2024 best young player award

In addition to the team celebration, Yamal broke a long-standing record and was honored as the young player of the tournament.

At just 17 years and one day, Yamal became the youngest player to appear in a FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Championship final, surpassing legendary Pelé’s record from the 1958 World Cup (17 years and 249 days), according to Opta.

Meanwhile, Williams became the first player of Ghanaian descent to score in the European Championship final after netting in the 47th minute against England.

He also became the second player of Ghanaian origin to win the competition after Marcel Desailly won it with France in 2000, as reported by Ghana Soccernet.

Euro 2024 cash prize for Spain

Earlier, Legitimate.ng Spain became the first country to win four European Football Championships after beating England to claim the 2024 crown on July 24.

It was a well-deserved victory for The Red onewho won their first major title since winning three in a row between 2008 and 2012. As well as the honours of moving to the top of Europe, Spain will also reap great rewards from lifting the trophy.

Adding up all the bonuses for qualifying for all rounds, winning all seven games, including the final at the end, Spain will leave with 28.25 million euros for winning the championship.
