Driving is an easier task for some than for others. But even then, there are things we have to do behind the wheel that can be difficult, even for the most experienced drivers.

Everyone who has taken the driving test has had their own preference for maneuvers, with no one wanting to parallel park unless they enjoy watching the world burn.

Well, parking in general isn’t any easier if you ask me, and I’ve been behind the wheel for a decade now.

A necessary evil that depends primarily on the cars around you having parked courteously. It is without a doubt my Achilles heel when it comes to driving experience – and in my case, with a toddler in the back who won’t stop chattering.

But if, like me, you suffer from a form of parking anxiety when driving, one trick to take a look at social media can save you the day and avoid bumps and scratches when queuing for your parking space.

TikTok has become one of the number one places on the internet when it comes to looking for the latest hack.

It’s no surprise then that it’s the platform of choice when it comes to helping mere mortals who hate parking.

On TikTok, nearly 800,000 people follow car advice guru @master_driver666, who regularly shares his wise tips and advice for your car.

Among them, there is a trick that only takes 10 seconds and can allow you to park in the blink of an eye.

The video in question is about your mirrors and how they move to help you see the road around you.

In the clip, the woman adjusts them down so that the focus is on the side of the car and the white bay markers indicating where you park your car.

From here it’s pretty simple, actually. When reversing, follow the white lines, stay inside them and straighten the car out so you’re in the middle of the square.

You should know when to stop when the car door handle on both front seats of your vehicle lines up with the white line of the bay at the rear of the car, which is a blessing if you don’t have parking sensors or cameras.

But don’t forget to put your mirrors back in place once you’re parked.

In total, it takes about 10 seconds to prepare the car for the maneuver.

In one comment, one person wrote: “Who else learned from this video?”

Whether or not you choose this option, remember that the key to parking is to take your time. No one is going to hit you and push you out of the lane.
