LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A suspect in a reported stolen car drove across the surface and even rode on a slashed tire during a dangerous chase that ended in Inglewood.

AIR7 was over the pursuit Friday around 4:30 p.m. when the suspect was driving recklessly in the South Los Angeles area.

The driver weaved wildly through traffic, driving the wrong way on some streets and cutting right in front of a Metro bus.

The vehicle at one point lost its driver’s side front tire, causing sparks to fly from the rim as the motorist sped through local streets.

The driver eventually stopped and he and a female passenger jumped out of the silver sedan.

The driver tested the door of a white pickup truck parked nearby in hopes of stealing it, but the door was locked. The pair ran through several streets but were eventually tracked down by chasing sheriff’s deputies near East 66th and Gay Street.
