Pacific Coastal Airlines announced direct flights between Kelowna and Prince George on Monday, marking another step in its mission to improve regional connectivity across British Columbia.

Beginning October 28, this new service will operate six times a week, Sunday through Friday, aboard Beechcraft 1900 aircraft, offering travelers more options and improved convenience.

“Our new route provides customers with enhanced access to convenient travel between northern British Columbia and the Okanagan,” said Johnathan Richardson, vice-president of customer and commercial affairs at Pacific Coastal Airlines, in a statement. “We are grateful for the strong support for our new flights and look forward to continuing to expand our service throughout the province.”

Passengers can now book flights for the new Kelowna-Prince George route on the Pacific Coastal Airlines website, by contacting their call centre at 1-800-663-2872 or through a preferred travel agent.

“We are excited to see Pacific Coastal’s network continue to expand at YLW, providing more regional connectivity options for Okanagan residents,” said Geoff Ritchie, Director of Commercial and Air Services at Kelowna International Airport. “The increase in direct routes offered by Pacific Coastal will improve the movement of people and goods throughout our province.”
