Attorney General Coleman Announces Grant Program to Provide Bulletproof Vests to Kentucky Law Enforcement

KENTUCKY (WKYT) – Attorney General Russell Coleman has launched a $15 million grant program to provide body armor and equipment to Kentucky law enforcement.

The initiative is funded by the State General Assembly.

Officials say the grant will help address the pressing needs of police officers, about 20 percent of whom do not have adequate or expired body armor.
