The Enchantment is ready for an exhibition tune-up and a chance to honor its fallen teammates.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Before heading to the TBT Houston Regional on Friday, the Enchantment basketball team will play an exhibition game against fellow Lobo alumni, honoring the memory of former players who lost their lives in 2024.

“It’s huge because it’s a sad situation because Drew, the first couple of years he played on the TBT team, I got to know him a little bit better, and obviously Greg Brown who played at Albuquerque High,” Enchantment head coach and former NBA veteran Kenny Thomas said. “Greg did a lot for this community. And then you have to think about Rueben Douglas. The sky has fallen and you have to keep in mind that there’s a lot of different things going on right now, as far as different people passing away. So the fact that we can come out here and put on a show tomorrow night, I think it’s going to be a great time. Come out and support us.”

The Enchantment team is comprised of former Lobo players and others with ties to New Mexico. The exhibition game between the Enchantment team and the Lobo alumni will be Tuesday night at The Pit at 7:00 p.m.
