Adidas and MLS release archival collection

adidas has teamed up with Major League Soccer for a collection of Gazelle jerseys, jackets and boots that draw inspiration from the retro aesthetics of select football clubs. Inter Miami CF, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City are all part of the collaboration, with each club’s home cities inspiring the reimagined merchandise designs.

All clubs receive a new jersey, jacket and pair of Gazelle sneakers inspired by sports broadcasts, advertisements, magazines and catalogues of the past. Inter Miami CF merchandise features an aqua and orange colourway with Miami featuring a vintage-inspired font. Los Angeles inspires two team merchandise, with the LA Galaxy getting a dark green, black and red colourway paired with the Galaxy in yellow. LAFC merchandise features cream and shades of brown to complement and feature a Los Angeles logo.

The Portland Timbers sport a deep red and yellow color scheme, with the Timbers in a vintage baseball-inspired font adorning the offerings. Finally, Sporting Kansas City gets a nod as their former team name, with the Wizards appearing alongside Kansas City in a colorway that uses blue, white, black, red, yellow, and green. The collection also includes branded socks, hats, and shorts to match each club’s new look.

The adidas x MLS Archive collection is available now on the MLS website and at various MLS and club retail locations. Prices range from $19.99 USD to $194.99 USD and you can view the collection in the gallery above.
