Kylian Mbappe just revealed the truth about Liverpool transfer in his first message to Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe has admitted he turned down offers from other clubs in order to fulfil his dream of playing for Real Madrid.

The French superstar was officially unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday after completing his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe’s contract with the French club expired earlier this summer, ending a sometimes turbulent period.

The 25-year-old has long been linked with a move to Madrid, and his desire to move to the Spanish capital led to a major falling out between him and PSG last summer.

He was close to a move to Anfield in 2017, with reports claiming he had a two-hour conversation with Liverpool owner John Henry on his private jet as he weighed up his options before leaving Monaco.

His subsequent move to PSG did not end the speculation, with Liverpool regularly linked with his services. However, during his presentation speech, Mbappe made it clear that he had no intention of joining any club other than Los Blancos.

“I was sure the moment would come,” he said (via 90min). “I had many offers from other clubs, but I always said the same thing.
