One dead and one injured in a gunfight in Delhi’s Kabir Nagar

New Delhi, November 9 (IANS): In yet another gunfight in the national capital, one person was killed and another injured when assailants opened fire on them in Delhi’s Kabir Nagar early on Saturday.

The incident took place in Welcome Police Station area of ​​Kabir Nagar when the victim was having dinner at his home in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Nadeem.

The assailants fired five rounds of bullets at the victim, leading to the death of Nadeem on the spot and injury to a minor. Another person who was with the victim at the time of the shooting was unharmed.

The motorcycle-borne assailants barged into Nadeem’s house in the early hours of Saturday, committed the crime and escaped on the victim’s scooty.

The attackers left their motorcycle at the crime scene and also took the victim’s mobile phone as they fled.

Shortly after being informed of the shooting, a police team arrived on the scene and identified the cause of the crime.

According to Nadeem’s relatives, the victim had contact with the people who shot him.

The victim’s younger brother Nazim said: “My brother did garment work. Of the five bullets fired at Nadeem, he suffered two gunshot wounds, one in the head and one in the spinal cord.”

An investigation was launched into the reason behind the shooting.

Recently, a 40-year-old man and his teenage nephew were shot dead and a 10-year-old boy was injured in Delhi’s Shahdara on Diwali evening.

The shocking double murder took place when the victims were celebrating the festival outside their home in the Farsh Bazar area.

On September 28, gunmen fired shots at a ration shop in Delhi’s Nangloi area, causing panic.

Previously, criminals fired several rounds at a car showroom where luxury vehicles were sold.

Before that, a gunman fired shots at a hotel in the Maipalpur area.
