GTA 6 fans think a new trailer is coming very soon, here’s why

Grand Theft Auto fans think that Rockstar Games is preparing to release the next, aka second, GTA 6 trailer very soon, and they have a pretty good reason to think so. Notably, the first GTA 6 trailer was released in the month of December. More specifically, the game was released on December 4, 2023. Some therefore suspect that the second GTA 6 trailer will also be released in December this year. However, it doesn’t look like this will happen.

For those who don’t know, Rockstar Games is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, which owns other gaming companies such as 2K. Under the 2K umbrella are a host of studios, including Hangar 13, which is a work in progress Mafia: the old countrya new part in the long-running Mafia series. How is this relevant? Well, it’s a pretty big release for Take-Two Interactive, and it’s getting a new trailer in December, its own second trailer. That’s why we suspect Take-Two Interactive doesn’t want this new Mafia: The Old Country trailer anywhere near the new GTA 6 trailer.

In fact, we know that this kind of triangulation and planning is something the company is thinking about, as Take-Two Interactive noted in a recent earnings call that it didn’t want to release GTA 6 too close to Borderlands 4, its other biggest upcoming release.

All this is to say, Grand Theft Auto fans have pointed out If a GTA 6 trailer is revealed this year, it will most likely be released in November, not December. And this ties in a potential new plague from Rockstar Games that may specifically point to a November 22 release date for the game’s second trailer.

Of course, take all this speculation for what it is, which is complete speculation, but this isn’t as tinfoil as most GTA 6 speculation. But it remains speculation and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
