Kakamega: Sadness when 5th grade student is found dead in her room

How did the Kakamega girl die?

Her grandmother said the fifth-grader looked fine as she left her home with the rest of the house family members.

She told Citizen Digital that she was told the deceased had lunch with the family before going to her room, where she was later found dead.

She said she received a 911 call about the sudden death of her granddaughter, prompting her to call her husband for more information.

‘At first I thought it was one of those scammers calling me. When I called the girl’s grandfather, I couldn’t find him,” the grandmother said painfully.

She rushed back home in panic, hoping the emergency call was a lie, only to have her worst fears confirmed true.

“Investigation needs to be done as losing the girl under such circumstances is heartbreaking,” she further stated.

Nyumba Kumi Constable Rueben Otiende confirmed the incident and urged police to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased.

In a separate incident, a family in Kazamoyo village in Kuresoi North, Nakuru Provincewants justice to be served after the body of their missing son would have been found in an abandoned latrine.
