Asda announces 100 new items for its luxury range just in time for Christmas – here are the 3 best buys

Asda aims to wow shoppers with 100 new festive dishes that will be added to its premium range in the run-up to Christmas.

With less than 80 days to go until the big event, the supermarket is ready to unveil its new luxury products ranging from mouth-watering meats to indulgent sweets.

Much of the new line is designed for convenience, so people can entertain their guests during the holiday season in a fraction of the time.

The supermarket has been launching new products from the Exceptional range since May, with some of the most popular items being the Exceptional Scotch Eggs, Quiche Lorraine and Black Cherry Yogurt.

Here, FEMAIL reveals the top three picks from the new Asda Exceptional festive range…

1. The Exceptional Welsh Shoulder of Lamb with Fig, Whiskey and Spiced Honey Stuffing

Hot honey has become one of the culinary world’s most loved flavors of the year and Asda is bringing the trend to its customers with one of its centrepieces, a shoulder of Welsh lamb filled with fig, whiskey and spiced honey.

2. The exceptional braid of lightly smoked salmon with figs and a spiced honey and whiskey glaze

Another soon-to-launch main dish from the line is the smoked salmon braid, which has been paired with the same warm honey flavor combination as the lamb shoulder centerpiece.

3. The Exceptional Classic Minced Pie

Asda has kept it traditional with meat pies from its new Exceptional range, made by a family-run Cumbrian bakery in the hills.

The supermarket has also added the Ultimate Pork Crackling Joint to its Exceptional range, which it describes as a time-saving trick for those who don’t want to spend all Christmas morning in the kitchen.

The joint comes pre-marked, salted and marinated so that prep is minimal, and comes with a sauce to drizzle over the meat for serving – which saves you having to prepare a sauce.

The Exceptional Mince Pies’ runner-up in the sweet category would have to be the Exceptional Raspberry Pistachio Sourdough Donut, which was inspired by Asda’s pistachio croissant that went viral earlier this year.

It comes after budget supermarket Aldi announced its Christmas range for the 2024 festive season, complete with party food for easy entertaining.
