York State Fair Set to Kick Off With Temperatures Expected to Reach 80 Degrees: ‘Stay Cool and Hydrated’

(WHTM) — The calmer weather now is good news for the York State Fair, which opens Friday.

Attendance has declined in recent years and some believe this is due to the move from September to July a few years ago.

Fortunately, our abc27 meteorologists expect temperatures to remain mostly in the low 80s for the next few days.

“But we still encourage people to stay cool and hydrated,” said Montgomery Stambaugh, a spokeswoman for the York State Fair. “All of our buildings are air-conditioned and we have multiple cooling stations, from shaded areas to a misting tent and a climate-controlled tent.”

You are allowed to bring your own water bottle.

abc27 will be there live Friday night and for Good Day PA.
