Lynchburg Police are investigating the shooting at BeeBee’s Spot

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) -The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred Friday at BeeBee’s Spot.

LPD officers were dispatched to BeeBee’s Spot at 6113 Fort Avenue around 11:13 p.m. after reports of gunfire. Officials said witnesses reported hearing shots while on the outdoor patio, and it was soon confirmed that several individuals were injured.

Officers found three adults with gunshot wounds at the scene. Officers said these individuals were treated by Lynchburg Fire Department medics and transported to Lynchburg General Hospital (LGH) for further medical care. Their injuries are reportedly not life-threatening.

Shortly after the initial response, two more adult victims arrived at LGH with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, also related to the incident.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
