5 skills to her credit, Simone Biles is not ready to stop to immortalize herself in swimming too: “My own style”

Simone Biles, who is headed to Paris, may have gymnastics titles to her name, but she wouldn’t mind a few more. In fact, the seven-time Olympic medalist would be very happy if she got one in a completely different sport. The five-time Olympic gold medalist expressed her desire in the funniest way during an interview with American swimming icon Missy Franklin.

The champion duo appeared in a fun interview on the Laureus YouTube channel. Biles and Franklin discussed how the 21-time World Championship medalist could get a skill named after her in swimming. When asked what element of swimming Biles would do well in, she hilariously described the breaststroke as ” frog. “

“I just think it might be easiest for me to do a little frog.” said the winner of the 2024 Olympic trials. Missy Franklin made the correct guess only because Biles made hand gestures that mimicked the breaststroke. However, the gymnastics champion said she would do her own version. “Every time I do it, I have one leg that goes in and then I take it out, so I have my own style.” Simone Biles said in the YouTube video.

After hearing her hilarious suggestion, Franklin suggested that Biles “absolutely winning” the event if she created the move. The suggestion prompted the 2023 world champion to say, “I give him my name.” Franklin burst out laughing because the gymnastics GOAT has two vaults, the Biles and the Biles II, aka the Yurchenko double pike that is named after her.

Her namesake skill on beam is a double-double dismount, consisting of two twits and somersaults. Finally, on floor, Simone Biles performs a double layout with a half-twist in the second somersault. The Biles II is also called a triple-double. However, Missy Franklin’s answer to the same question was no less hilarious than Biles’s.

Simone Biles’s Sport Terrified Missy Franklin

Simone Biles may not be the most skilled swimmer. However, Missy Franklin, 29, is afraid of everything except the floor exercise in gymnastics. The six-time Olympic medalist chose the floor because she “would have a chance of not dying,” unlike other skills. The swimmer explained that any other skill carries a risk of falling on the face.

However, because the floor exercises are done on a flat surface that is soft enough to absorb shock, she felt comfortable. The former Olympic gold medalist also felt confident because she loves to dance. If Franklin couldn’t master a technique, she would simply start dancing to the music. Unfortunately, that might not get her high marks from the judges.

The questions and answers from both athletes were hilarious, but they also showed Simone Biles’ mindset. Although she has already conquered her sport, the 27-year-old Olympian is still hungry to do better.
