Cost of Living Scholarships on offer in Cambridgeshire Fen towns

The sessions, which offer free tea and coffee, will take place between 10am and 1pm GMT at the following locations:

  • Whittlesey – Friday 15th November at Peel House, Queen Street

  • Wisbech – Monday 18th November at The Oasis Community Centre, St Michael’s Avenue

  • Chatteris – Monday 25 November at The King Edward Centre, King Edward Road

Susan Wallwork, Conservative portfolio holder for communities at Fenland District Council, said: “We know the cost of living remains a challenge and this is an opportunity to pick up some tips that will be useful for everyone.

“There will be help and information for those who are really struggling, as well as useful tips relevant to all households and details of the support people may be entitled to and are missing out on.

“We welcome everyone to come along.”

According to the government’s 2019 poverty figures, Fenland was the most deprived district in Cambridgeshire.
