Natural History Courses offered by the Eden Project in Cornwall

Natural History Courses offered by the Eden Project in Cornwall

Natural history lessons will be available at one of Cornwall’s most iconic attractions.

The Eden Project will offer courses in July and August aimed at people interested in British natural history, officials said.

This will be done in collaboration with the Field Studies Council, an environmental education charity, they added.

Dr Jo Elworthy, head of science engagement at the Eden Project, said the aim would be “for everyone to learn more and reconnect with the natural world”.

One of the courses would focus on wildflowers, botany and identifying common and unusual species, bosses said.

Another explores tree biology and the ecology of conifers and hardwoods, they added.

Clare Rooney, Biodiversity Programme Manager at the Field Studies Council, said: “Through these courses, we hope participants will feel inspired to continue learning more about biodiversity and using their new knowledge to care for the natural world.”
