PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men seen climbing an Oregon Department of Forestry camera tower just south of Sisters Sunday night.

Shortly after 8 p.m., cameras caught the two men climbing the 60-foot-tall tower on Three Creeks Butte. According to ODFW, they would have had to climb over six feet of barbed wire to reach the tower.

An ODFW official told KOIN 6 News he rushed to the tower to try to intercept the men and check for damage, but they had already left when he arrived.

“Fortunately, there was no material damage and they were probably only interested in the view and the climb,” he added.

Additionally, ODFW said they will now be increasing security measures for the area and have now filed a trespassing complaint with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
