Max Verstappen explodes in angry radio message ahead of Lewis Hamilton’s Hungarian Grand Prix crash

An agitated Max Verstappen lost his tempter with Red Bull engineer Gianpiero Lambiase in a fit of fury at the Hungarian Grand Prix before colliding with Lewis Hamilton in a turbulent race.

Verstappen started the race on the second row behind the two McLaren cars and made a good start.

He eventually passed Lando Norris at the first corner, but was then ordered to give up the place for taking the lead by going off track.

The three-time world champion struggled to keep up with the leading duo and then found himself in a battle with Lewis Hamilton.

But his frustration grew when he was caught out by Hamilton who managed to undercut him by pitting early, with Red Bull unable to respond.

Verstappen continued to complain about his car on the radio as he finally caught Hamilton, but he failed to complete an overtake.

And those frustrations boiled over after his second pit stop, when it appeared Verstappen was advised to take it easy on his new tyres.

Lambiase said sarcastically, “Well, that’s a gentle introduction.

“But the remark fell like a lead balloon and Verstappen exploded in a fit of rage.

He replied, “No, buddy, don’t give me that bullshit.

“You gave me this fucking strategy, okay?

“I’m trying to save what’s left.”
