Oneida City School District Foundation Announces 2024 Wall of Distinction Induction Class

ONEIDA, NY — The Oneida City School District Foundation (OCSDF) recently announced the 2024 induction class for the Wall of Distinction.

The purpose of the Wall of Distinction is to celebrate graduates who have made outstanding contributions to their field and/or recognize retirees and others who have served the Oneida City School District with distinction. It is to inspire future students to strive for future success and accomplishment.

Nominees eligible for selection to the Wall of Distinction will have exemplified the principles of OCSD’s educational philosophy throughout their lives. Alumni must have graduated from Oneida High School ten years prior to their nomination. OCSD employees must have been retired five years prior to their nomination.

If they are OCSD alumni and employees, they must also meet retirement requirements before they can be nominated. Nominees must meet one or more of the following criteria:

Outstanding and lasting contribution to society by making a difference in the lives of others.

Outstanding professional contribution or achievement in the chosen field or business.

Demonstrated commitment and involvement in school and community at an exceptional level

The 12th Annual Wall of Distinction Induction and Alumni Dinner will be held on Saturday, September 28 at Theodore’s Restaurant (the former Rusty Rail Party House), 3231 Seneca Turnpike, Canastota NY 13032.

Cocktail hour will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.; dinner will be at 7:00 p.m. and the induction ceremony will follow immediately.

Tickets can be purchased for $40 each. Checks can be made payable to the OCSD Foundation

The OCSD Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting school spirit within the district, raising funds for approved classroom projects beyond the general budget, and awarding annual scholarships to graduating students.
