Thamarassery: In a hilarious incident, the local residents of Parappanpoyil here were shocked to see the guilt whom they caught holding of for sneaking into the second floor of a house on Katharammal Road and peeping into the bedroom. It was none other than the admin of a WhatsApp group created only to nab the ‘peeping guy’ at the Korangad area.

As soon as they realized it was their WhatsApp group admin who is the ‘blackman’ wearing black T shirt, pants and sandals they were looking for all these days, the young bloods of the group lost their temper.

Interestingly, it was the same guy who created the group and encouraged the locals to stay awake at night and be vigilant to nab the bedroom peeping `blackman’.

To prevent youth from beating the ‘blackman’ black and blue, the elders moved the guy to a nearby godown, lowered the shutter thus saving him. Meanwhile, the guy was trying to lessen the charge by saying that his aim was theft and not peeping.

Although the young administrator was taken into custody by the Thamarassery Police Station, he was later released as no family or locals filed any complaint against him.

However, with the unfolding of the incident, the guy, who used to be called as ‘Mash’ (sir) by the locals, left the place along with his family. He has been living there with family in a rented house for the past one and a half years.

His modus operandi was to hide outside the houses where there are only woman and children and peep into their bedrooms when nobody was noticed. He is said to be very flexible and could easily climb up or sneak into any building.

Although the ‘blackman’ was almost nabbed by the locals several times earlier, he managed to give a slip with extraordinary speed each time. Every time, he would return to the spot and join the locals in their search for the peeping guy.

The WhatsApp group helped him to entertain the attention of the members and also to be alert when the rest of the group plans any move to catch the guilt.

He was caught from a house five kilometers away from his residence. A girl in that house alerted the neighbors when she saw someone outside the window of the second floor, prompting him to jump down. However, he landed in the hands of the locals who handed him over to the police.
