1 person injured in custody after police chase in North Lubbock

Police responded to an incident in north Lubbock involving a pursuit Saturday evening.

According to LPD, officers were initially called to Avenue Q and Erskine Avenue for a report of a hit-and-run just after 9 p.m.

Officers located the car that fled the scene and the driver of the car led officers on a short chase.

According to LPD, the driver was taken into custody shortly before 9:20 p.m. and is being treated for moderate injuries.

The identity of the driver or other information about the incident has not been released at this time.
