Mayhem Festival Announces Set Times for One-Day Metal Event – ​​Orange County Register

Get ready to bang your head and fly high with your devil horns. The set times for the Mayhem Festival taking place on Saturday, October 12th at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in Devore are sold out.

The event returns to the location that opened the festival 16 years ago, where Slipknot and Disturbed headlined the tour. Over its eight years, projects have included prominent metal bands such as Assassin, Korn and Dethklok as headliners, but the festival has not been active since 2015.

The one-day metal festival will celebrate its return with performances from Bad Omens, Parkway Drive and Architects and emerging bands like Escuela Grind and Holy Wars will kick off the festival.

This year’s highlights include the first performance of System of Down bassist Shavo Odadjian’s new band Seven Hours After Violet; August Burns Red performing their hit 2009 album “Constellations” in its entirety; Peyton Parrish’s first West Coast appearance; Throwdown’s first California show in 13 years; and It Dies Today, the first West Coast show in more than a decade.
