‘Beautifully Broken’, the album: what we already know

Previously released 2024 singles “I Am Not Ok,” “Liar,” “Get By” and “Burning” will appear on the album.

Notably, ESPN recently chose “Get By” as the anthem of the 2024 College Football season, while “Liar” (which premiered at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards) served as World Wrestling Entertainment’s theme song for the recently completed SummerSlam event – at which the multi-platinum artist appeared as both a performer and an in-ring guest.

“I Am Not Okay” debuted when the Music City native appeared on an episode of “The Voice” in May 2024, with a repeat performance on The Howard Stern Show in June. As for “Burning,” the winner of the ACM, CMA and CMT awards debuted it during a recent Jimmy Kimmel performance.

In regards to the album, the artist offered the following to the New York Times, related to his art, which was moving forward and serving a purpose greater than himself:

“(I) try to influence as many people as (I) can, while God gives (me) a platform… I’m looking for songs that have a purpose. When I release a song under the name Jelly Roll, I think I to myself: why? Because for the first time in my life it has nothing to do with a financial decision. I’m already way over spending anything for money.”

‘Beautifully Broken’, the tour: What do we already know?

As for “Beautifully Broken,” Jelly Roll’s album title also doubles as that of his upcoming four dozen tour dates between Labor Day and Halloween of 2024.

Venues on the Nashville native’s most ambitious tour to date include New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Center.

Tour openers include Warren Zeiders, Alexandra Kay, ERNEST, Shaboozey and Allie Colleen.

In related tour news, Jelly Roll has become an international sensation with an even bigger future worldwide.

Now cleared of the legal entanglements that prevented him from doing so, the award winner performed for the first time in Canada in St. Catherines, Ontario and Ottawa, Ontario, on July 8 and 9, 2024.

This followed him, in Juneappointed US Global Music Ambassador by the US Department of State alongside Chuck D, Grace Bowers, BRELAND, Kane Brown, Herbie Hancock, Denyce Graves, Teddy Swims, Justin Tranter, Armani White and Lainey Wilson.

For the ‘Save Me’ singer, it felt ‘particularly meaningful’ to be able to tour internationally and also be a Global Music Ambassador.
